Thermal Printer Billing with BizBahi (58mm & 80mm)

Updated: 18 October 2026

Most shop counters in India use a small 58mm or 80mm thermal receipt printer. BizBahi can print your sale bills, quotations and other documents on these printers straight from the Android app, and the same bill can also be shared as an A4 PDF on WhatsApp.

This guide explains which printers work, how to set the receipt width and how to print a bill. For the full picture of GST invoices, stock and GST reports, see BizBahi GST billing software.

Which receipt sizes are supported?

  • 58mm thermal rolls — the size used by most small Bluetooth receipt printers.
  • 80mm thermal rolls — the wider size used by many counter POS printers.
  • A4 and A5 tax invoice PDFs for customers who want a full-page bill.
BizBahi does not offer 90mm or 104mm receipt layouts. If your printer uses those rolls, use the 80mm layout or the A4/A5 PDF.

How BizBahi talks to the printer

BizBahi prints through the standard Android print system. When you tap Print thermal, the app builds a receipt-width layout and opens the Android print sheet; there you pick your printer.

For a Bluetooth ESC/POS receipt printer to appear in that print sheet, Android needs a print service for it. Many printer makers provide one as an app on the Play Store — install it, pair the printer in Bluetooth settings, and it will show up when you print.

Set the receipt width (one time)

  1. Open BizBahi and tap More.
  2. Open Integrations → Thermal printer.
  3. Choose Receipt width: 58mm or 80mm, matching the paper roll in your printer.

Print a bill on the thermal printer

  1. Create the sale as usual (Sales → New Sale), or open an existing invoice.
  2. On the invoice screen tap Print thermal.
  3. In the Android print sheet select your thermal printer and print.

What is printed on the receipt

  • Your business name and GSTIN (if added in Settings).
  • Bill number, date, items, quantity and amounts.
  • Tax breakup — CGST+SGST for a same-state sale or IGST for an other-state sale — and the total.
  • A UPI QR with the exact amount due, when your UPI ID is set, so the customer can scan and pay.

Tips

  • Do a test print once after changing the receipt width.
  • If the printer does not appear in the print sheet, check that it is paired in Android Bluetooth settings and that its print service app is installed and enabled.
  • You can always share the same bill as a PDF on WhatsApp if the printer is offline.
